The Faculty houses undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Demography & Social Statistics, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Psychology as well as Sociology & Anthropology. The Faculty nurtures intellectual and creative talents in its staff and students; through the high premium it places on scholarly research and publications particularly for career advancement and in the students, through a rigorous training in its well designed academic programmes. The Faculty strives regularly to reposition itself for relevance by engaging in cutting – edge research and by periodically reviewing its academic programmes in an effort to reflect important changes and development in scholarship so as to make the Faculty competitive and its academic programmes relevant and demand – driven.
