Activities to herald the 2020 calendar year of the Faculty of Social Sciences have begun in earnest as various committees roll out initiatives in line with their mandates.
The Faculty’s Conference Committee has issued a Call for the 2020 International Conference expected to attract researchers and practitioners from within and outside the country. In a widely circulated Call, the Committee led by its Chairperson, Temidayo Akinbobola, a professor of Economics, announced that the 2020 Conference with the theme ‘Inclusive Growth Post 2020: Looking at the Future of Nigeria’ will hold from 7th to 8th of July. It encouraged interested presenters to send their papers by 15th April, at the latest.
Similarly, the News Committee has published the first edition of the Faculty Bulletin for 2020. The Committee led by Dr. Olabisi Ayodele of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology documented various activities of the Faculty in the last months of 2019, as well as events thus far in 2020.
