ACADEMIC STAFF
From a few academics that started the then Faculty of Economics and Social Studies in 1962, the Faculty has now grown into a stable platform of knowledge production relating to human behavioural dispositions cutting across Demography & Social Statistics, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology & Anthropology. As at October 1, 2019, the Faculty boasts of 109 academics, including 26 professors, 9 readers and 41 senior lecturers. A total of 96, representing 88.07 per cent, have PhD degrees while others are at various stages of completion.
